Volunteer Dismissal

While volunteers are often hard to come by, keeping a bad volunteer can create a negative culture in the club and deter others from volunteering.

It is important to evaluate volunteer performance and manage underperformance.

Volunteering Australia has developed The National Standards for Volunteer Involvement which provides a best practice in volunteer management and will help manage the risk and safety of volunteers.

Clubs Code of Conduct, the WPA Codes of Conduct, Think.Act.Play guidelines and other policies can be used as a framework to guide discussions around poor behaviour.
