Across Australia there are more than 100 clubs and 18,000 individual registered water polo players throughout Australia.
Water polo offers individuals more than just a place to play the sport they love. It allows players, coaches, referees and volunteers to be part of their local community in and out of the pool.
One of the few team sports played in an aquatic environment, water polo is for all abilities and ages. A suite of programs is offered for all ages starting with Water Polo Australia’s junior program Flippaball through to Club, elite and masters competitions.
Clubs provide members experiences in local/state/national competitions, provide safe and inclusive environments for all, allow players and non-players opportunities to develop and are the core of Australia's love for water polo.
