ATHLETE BIO

After his maiden Olympics George Ford has become an important part in the Aussie Sharks squad after dominant displays at an Australian junior level. Those performances earned him a debut in 2013 where he won a gold medal at the Danube Cup with the senior team.

His speed and counter attacking abilities make him an ideal candidate for the centre back position within the squad.

Ford hails from a strong club background which has provided him with great knowledge and skills on how to play effectively in a position like that.

Hailing from Western Australia, Ford enjoyed a brief time in the Croatian national water polo league (2017/18) before donning the blue and gold to play for Sydney University Lions in the 2019 Australian Waterpolo League and UWA Torpedoes in 2022.
