ATHLETE BIO

With a mother, father and an aunt who have all played water polo for Australia, the sport was in Zoe Arancini’s blood. She is now an Olympian herself after her debut at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, and second Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020.

During her first international in 2009, Zoe claimed bronze at the FINA World League Finals and was crowned the Water Polo Australia Junior Women’s Player of the Year.

Another big accolade attached to the Zoe Arancini name is her inclusion in the 2015 FINA World All Stars team.

In recent years, Arancini made the short-term move to the Chinese city of Kunshan where she trained full time with China's national women's team, before returning to Australia to play for Fremantle in the 2019 Australian Waterpolo League.

A product from Western Australia and Melville Water Polo Club, Zoe has progressed through the Australian pathway system and after representing various Australian junior teams made the transition to the Stingers squad where she is the current captain.
