Aussie Stingers Open Olympic Campaign With Win Over Canada

The Aussie Stingers have kick started their Tokyo Olympic Games campaign in style, with a gutsy 8-5 win over Canada.

With no international competition since January 2020, the Aussie Stingers were itching to get back in the pool, and came out strong to lead from the outset.

Olympic debutant Bronte Halligan scored an early goal, one minute into the game, to secure the lead for the team.

Halligan’s goal haul eventuated in a hat-trick, the 24-year-old rising to the occasion in her first Olympic outing.
