MEN’S 18&U NATIONAL AGE GROUP PROGRAM TEAMS ANNOUNCED FOR OVERSEAS TOURS

Water Polo Australia is pleased to announce two 18&U men’s National Age Group Program (NAGP) teams ahead of their overseas tours later this year.
With no World Championships set for 2023 in the 18&U age group, WPA is pleased to offer a development opportunity to its NAGP athletes.
One 18&U men’s team will travel to the USA, with the other 18&U men’s team to tour Europe.
18&U Men’s Head Coach Andras Jo-Kovacs said these tours will lay the foundations for this group of athletes for years to come.
“These tours are extremely important for our athletes to gain exposure and experience against different styles of water polo,” Jo-Kovacs said.
“Not only do the boys get to train and play against different styles of ability, strength and style, but they will be exposed to different cultures and have an experience outside of the pool as well.
“My advice to this group is to prepare well for the tour, enjoy it and soak up every minute of it.
“It is an honour to represent your country and have the opportunity to learn and grow in your sport,” he said.
