Water Polo Australia announces Paris and Beyond squads

Water Polo Australia (WPA) is pleased to announce more than 160 athletes as part of the Paris and Beyond squads.
The men’s and women’s squads have been identified in consultation with coaches across the country, including National Age Group Program, National Institute Network and Performance Centre coaches, as well as National League Coaches.
The list will be revised regularly, based on the appointment of the new National Head Coach/Coaching Directors and performance at upcoming events, including the National State Championships and the Australian Waterpolo League.
WPA General Manager Performance Charles Turner said that the Paris and Beyond squads are a snapshot of the current state of play around Australia.
“The Paris and Beyond squad lists are evolving,and will continue to be reviewed on a regular basis as we work towards the 2024 Paris and 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games,” Turner said.
“Based on the feedback of our network of coaches around the country, the list has been assembled to include athletes who have demonstrated potential for future national representative opportunities.
“I’d like to extend our thanks to the coaches for their assistance in this process, and offer congratulations to the athletes identified,” he said.
The Paris and Beyond squads have been selected as per the WPA Talent Management Process.
