20&U Male
The 20&U Male high performance program forms an important part of the Water Polo Australia high performance pathway, designed to prepare athletes for Australian representative opportunities. The program is designed to educate aspiring athletes about all aspects of water polo, both in and out of the pool.
Water Polo Australia’s high performance programs play a crucial role in ensuring future success of our national teams. The 20&U program is a springboard for aspiring athletes looking to also extend their representative honours with the Aussie Sharks (senior team) and also have aspirations for the Olympics.
Athletes in this program were led by head coach Dmitry Gorshkov. Triple Olympian and Head Coach Dmitry Gorshkov has an extensive knowledge of water polo from club level right through to international level. Previous appointments in Russia and Italy means Dmitry coaches at a great intensity.
