Water Polo Australia announces Youth Advisory Committee members

Published Fri 01 Oct 2021

On behalf of the Water Polo Australia Board and Sport Development Sub-Committee, Water Polo Australia would like to congratulate the successful appointments to the newly formed WPA Youth Advisory Committee.

The WPA Youth Advisory Committee has been formed to provide an opportunity for younger members of the water polo community to have a voice in the overall direction of water polo in Australia.

The Committee members will provide an important and different view on the topics at hand impacting water polo, based on their own experiences with the sport.

The Committee is to not only represent the interest of younger participants, but more importantly provide a young participants view on the entire sport and to have a voice in in its future direction.

Congratulations to the successful candidates:

  • Alex Kuzis (ACT)
  • Isabelle Walls (TAS)
  • Jacob Fowler (QLD)
  • Kate Colthart (WA)
  • Michaela Dyson (NSW)
  • Nicholas Mordes (VIC)
  • Tahlia Scipioni (SA)

WPA would also like to thank those who nominated but were unsuccessful - this was a highly competitive process with over 30 strong, young leaders from around the country that we hope to continue to see contributing to the development and leadership of their sport locally.

The first meeting of the Youth Advisory Committee is scheduled for Tuesday 12 October 4pm - 5pm AEDT and will operate under the WPA Board Sport Development Sub-Committee.
