Water Polo Australia’s swimwear and aquatic suppliers Delfina are just one of the many businesses that have had to adapt due to the current circumstances.

In these trying times, every Australian business must try and play their part to help, and Delfina have announced that they will be temporarily shifting their production power to supply face masks in a bid to help in the ongoing fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Delfina are mass producing custom reusable protective face masks that can be used for company, club, institution or community use.

Despite realigning the company's current direction, Delfina Founder and Rio Olympian Tyler Martin said they will continue to stick with their bread and butter of custom swimwear and apparel.

“We feel that given the circumstances evolving over the last couple of weeks that we are not only obliged but want to help in any way that we can,” Martin said.

“It’s such a dynamic global environment at the moment and diversifying was important for us to be able to sustain our business, but also help the community,” he said.

Delfina are simultaneously selling and donating masks, and have donated 4000 masks to date.

While currently only mass producing, Delfina plans to launch an online shop that will cater for individual orders in the coming days.

“The current situation is ever evolving, and we’ve seen an incredible surge in the need for face masks and the current supply has not been able to meet the demand,” Martin said.

“Since launching the mass production we’ve reassessed and realised that we also need to be helping the everyday people and that’s why it was important for us to incorporate individual sales as well.”

Details of Delfina’s new online shop will be available in the coming days.
