Club Structures

Having an effective and clear club structure is important to ensuring a sustainable club. When setting up the club, a club committee (or board) should have been formed. The club committee is responsible for making decisions on behalf of the club and to serve its members.

The club committee should, as a minimum, have a president or chairperson, a secretary, and a treasurer. There may be additional roles within in committee or club structure depending on the size of the club.

However, all structures should:

Be simple and clear
Provide details of any sub-committees
Be reviewed on a regular basis and any structural changes proposed at the AGM
